I wasnt impressed at all.. sorry to say was very disappointed with the department, when they missed handled my appointment. Later during the meeting, the conversation was uncomfortable too.

Same here!!! The banquet team sucks!! Being nice to call and make an appointment to go down to take a look at the place... guess what... if you do not have any fix date yet they are not bothered to meet you at all!!

As my AD is not fix yet, I am told by this lady Catherine of their banquet team that "If you just want to view the place you can come down any time to view the place yourself", and they will just mail you a soft copy of their package.

Simple basic service they do not even have what else do you expect from them to do up your once in your life time wedding event!!!

OMG.. you had the same thing?! i was given the same response too, attached an proposal and there u go, u can pop in anytime and view the ballroom while she claimed the other coordinator is busy with other couple. And yet I send for a request for an appointment more than 3weeks, and same thing when they ask for my AD too, why would anybody ask 'is it ok to hold a wedding on weekdays'? Its my preference! not yours!

Despite the negative reviews, we went ahead to call Carlton yesterday and honestly the banquet people aren't friendly or helpful. However we managed to talk to William (Manager) and we managed to meet up with him on the same day.
Viewed the ballroom, love the high ceilings and pillarless Empress Room. William also showed us the lighting effects which is impressive. They recently did up a small wedding showroom and we continued our discussion there.

The few dates we wanted have already been taken and I called William the next day to get all the available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays date from him for the month of Jan - May. He obliged with no complains and no hint of frustration.

For couples who are keen to try Carlton, look for William.
