Thread: Review needed for Crowne Plaza Hotel (near Airport)

Hi mintyvintage,

I recently attended a wedding lunch there. The hotel itself is nice. The ballroom I was at was on the first floor, catering to a smaller crowd (about 18 tables i think?), so I'm not too sure if that is the ballroom you're looking at. The interior is nice and though small, it doesn't seem cramped. The food is decent and the price of the package (which you find on the forum) is reasonable. Only wished the staff were friendlier - they weren't smiling alot when we were there.

I think the only thing you may have to consider is the location as some pple might find it very far. But if it is something you and your HTB love then don't let that stop you!

thanks both!! im slightly concerned abt the location but then again Singapore isnt that big... i suppose.. my relatives are mostly in the east, so that leaves the friends who will hopefully be ok. haha.

No worries, just go with what YOU want cos at the end of the day it's YOUR wedding.

What I do not like about Crown Plaza is the design on the side wall and the ceiliing which can look rather creepy

hello doreen! hahah i actually like the ballroom design contrary to what you said.. cuz yes it looks slightly creepy (or what i think as unconventional) ... reminds me of foliage and gives a garden feel... which is the kind of theme i would like

most ballrooms look plain/classy so i thought this one is quite unique. I'll have to go down to take a look at the actual site tho
