Yuan Ching Road Shines as a Serene Part of Jurong

Yuan Ching Road is located in the Jurong Lake District in Singapore. It is a beautiful road that radiates serenity and is a great place for a stroll. You can also find some great restaurants and shopping along the road.

Yung Sheng Road

One of the most peaceful parts of Jurong is Yuan Ching Road. It’s located in the Jurong Lake District. This part of Singapore is also home to the famous Jurong Country Club. The area’s many attractions include the Chinese and Japanese Gardens, the Jurong Country Club, and the IMM shopping mall. Here you can find popular stores like Daiso and Giant Hypermart. In addition, the area also has a thriving industrial sector. Other major companies in Jurong include Sony, Hitachi, Compact, Epson, and Singapore Tin industries. Two new public housing estates are also planned for the area.

A three-hectare closed-loop water recycling system works to filter the water from the Jurong Lake. Afterward, the water is then recycled to a new state by means of a biotope, where semi-aquatic plants absorb excess nutrients. The water is purified even further by an underground UV control room. Lastly, recycled materials are used to build features along the nature trail. These features offer unique leisure and experience opportunities for the public.

Singapore Condo refers to a type of residential property in Singapore that provides luxurious and exclusive living spaces for its residents. These condominiums are typically equipped with modern facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, and 24-hour security. One of the highly sought after Singapore Condos is Novo Place EC, offering beautifully designed units with spacious layouts and top-notch amenities. Situated in a prime location, Novo Place EC provides its residents with convenience and accessibility to various amenities, making it an ideal living choice for individuals and families alike.

The renowned Jurong Bird Park is an excellent place to spot various species of birds. There are over two hundred species of birds, and the park has become one of the five hotspots for bird watching in Singapore. A recent biodiversity report found seven new species of odonates in the park, and the aquatic habitat has expanded significantly.

Yung Ho Road

Yung Ho Road is an uncrowded, family-friendly neighbourhood in Jurong. Its layout and connections have garnered accolades for its commuting convenience. Two nearby MRT stations serve the area. Additionally, the Pan Island Expressway provides smooth passage for cars and buses.

The Yung Ho Road area also has two major industrial developments: the Agape, which is situated at the junction of Corporation Road and Yung Ho Road, and Corporation Place, which is located at the junction of Corporation Road and Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim. Both are located in Jurong and are accessible through public transport.

The Yung Ho Road area is also home to two community groups that serve the elderly. One of these groups, Lakeside Family Services, has been around for 10 years. The group works with a steady number of senior citizens, and provides English lessons every week.

In the late sixties, this area was a different picture. Several pig and poultry farms could be found here. The Mandai Quarry and Granite Mills were nearby, providing many jobs to the local community. The Lorong Bistari area was also home to many small businesses. In 1973, a fire destroyed the Guan Seng building.

Another row of shops at the end of the road is now Forest Hills Condominium. The shops were once a kopitiam and will be demolished in April 2015. This is the story of many old places being demolished to make way for new private residential developments. The trend has become more worrying in recent years.

The Jurong Lake District will soon be transformed into a prestigious leisure destination. Located just west of the city centre, the Jurong Lake District will be home to two precincts – Jurong Gateway and Jurong Lakeside. The first will be the largest commercial hub outside of the city centre, while the latter will include world-class entertainment and recreational facilities.

As one of the three national gardens in Singapore, Jurong Lake Gardens will serve as an engine for regeneration in the neighbourhood. The gardens are designed as public gardens and will restore the area’s natural landscape heritage, including tracts of freshwater swamp forests. These gardens will provide a green space for the community, and help Singapore become a more biophilic City in Nature.

Taman Jurong’s early residential blocks were mostly low-rise flats. The diamond-shaped flats were completed in the 1970s. These blocks formed an iconic landmark in the area, and were the pride of Taman Jurong. The neighbourhood was also home to the Jurong Town Primary School, which opened in March 1968. It was later renamed Hu Ching Road and merged with Yung An Primary School and Merlimau Primary School.
